Naming And Writing Chemical Formulas For Ionic And Molecular Compounds?

I’m not sure how to come up with correct examples. So if you can help me please…
name and write the chemical formulas for simple ionic and molecular compounds including those that contain the polyatomic ions: ammonium, carbonate, hydroxide, nitrate, phosphate and sulfate.
THANK YOU!

  1. D says:

    NH4+
    C02 2-
    OH-
    NO3-
    PO4 2-
    SO4 2-

  2. tremblef says:

    Calcium Carbonate – Ca(CO3)
    NaCl – Sodium Chloride
    Ca(NO3)2 – calcium nitrate
    NH3 – ammonia
(NH4)F – ammonium flouride (I don’t know if that exists)
    K(OH) pottasium hydroxide
    Ca3(PO4)2 – calcium phosphate
    NO3 – nitrogen tioxide
    SF5 – sulfur pentaflouride
    …. this is almost fun.
    SF6 – sulfur hexaflouride
    CaCl2 – calcium chloride
    H2SO4 – sulfuric acid
    HCl – hydrochloric acid
    (NH4)2SO4 – ammonium sulfate
    H2SO3 – sulfurous acid
    AlCl4 – aluminum tetrachloride
    IF7 – Iodine heptaflouride
    B2O3 – boron trioxide
    H2O – ….. water
    Ca(OH)2 – calcium hydroxide
    okay, I’m done.
